Happy New Year!

Well it’s finally over. 2020 is wrapped up, boxed away and firmly shoved into the back of the closet with “DO NOT OPEN” written in big letters on the side. Let’s hope 2021 is at least a bit better. That’s a pretty low bar to set, so I’m hopeful.

What’s in store for Joviac for 2021 then? We’ve been quiet for a while, but that doesn’t mean we’ve been sitting on our behinds procrastinating. Joviac is going through some really big changes, and I’m really excited about all of them. Currently we have a very promising guy that we’re auditioning for the role of keyboard player! After we’ve sorted out mr. keyboardist we’re going to begin the search for mr. second guitarist as well! So if everything goes as planned (knock on wood) Joviac is going to be bigger and better in 2021. It’s been a blast writing new material with more intricate and noticeable synth parts. Synths have always been present in Joviac’s music, but they’ve mostly been in the background up until now, that dynamic is definitely going to change a bit, and I think it’s only a good thing.

We’ve also booked a studio for drum recording in mid February. That’s right! You’ll definitely be hearing some new music this year. I’ve also been talking to our graphic designer, Dylan Jones, for a very interesting approach to the visual side of the upcoming music.

It’s all coming together here behind the scenes and as soon as we have something concrete to share with you, we will. So as always, stay tuned!

Love,

Will
